our last saturday without daddy!

today keira and i went to our neighbor jt's soccer game. we sat on the sidelines with jake, michelle, and riley (his little brother) and cheered for him. during the second half, jt scored a goal. he was so happy. we went and ran a few errands, and then hung out over at their house. while we were there, daisy, their beagle puppy, kept getting in keira's bouncy seat. i think that i am going to have to give it to here as soon as keira outgrows it.

playdate...well kinda

today we went to my friend emily's house. emily has a daughter, audrey, who is a week older than keira. we tried to get them to play together, but they weren't really interested. my favorite part of the "playdate" was when the girls were in there carseats and were looking at each other. they started to "coo" and it was like they were talking together.

our trip to the fair

this evening keira and i went to the cumberland county fair with some friends. we had a really good time. she liked looking at the different types of livestock. she really liked all the music and lights at the midway. she was in complete amazement. right before we left she decided that she had enough of the fair, and went to sleep.

keira's new seat

this weekend, i bought keira a bumbo seat. she likes it a lot, but under one condition...she has to be outside. i have tried to put her in it while i am cooking, or doing some cleaning, but all she does is cry. so the other night i took her and the seat outside, and she sat in it for 20 minutes. she likes to watch the bugs up by the lights and look at cadillac running in the yard. everytime she makes a noise, cadillac runs up to her to make sure she is alright. he loves her so much!

keira gets her shots

today was keira's two month check up. it went very well. she is now weighing in at 11.07 lbs. and is 23 inches long. i am going to have one tall baby. that puts her in the 50 percentile for her weight and 75 percentile for her height. the nurse made me feel really good. she asked if how many other children i had. i told her that keira is my one an only, and she replied, "i thought you had others, by the way you interact with her." i took that as a compliment. the doctor came in and said that everything looked really good. then it was shot time. she only cried for a few seconds after the shot. we get to go back in two weeks for one of the shots, they ran out.

keira's 2 months old!

today keira is two months old, we had a very busy day. we went into fayetteville and ran a couple errands. i went to the gym, and put keira in the nursery, luckily she slept the whole time she was in there. i am having a little bit of trouble getting her to drink from her bottle, so my gym visit was cut short. tomorrow is her two month appt. i am going to hate to see them give her shots. i'll let everyone know how that goes!

bathtime

after screaming for ten minutes, i decided to make keira a bath. as soon as i sat her in there, she calmed down. she took her wash cloth and was eating it. i took it away and gave her a clean one to munch on. after she was clean and ready, i took her out of the bath and wrapped her up. she didn't like that too much. now she is sleeping in my arms.
