helping mommy pack

with the final contract signed, we are really getting in the moving spirit. keira has been trying to help me, but it just really makes me work harder and faster. while i put stuff in boxes, she pulls it out. then she crawls off with the tape. i feel like i am losing my mind, but she is just too quick. she decided today that she wanted to pull all the boxes out and play with them. hey, whatever keeps her busy.

pool party

with the weather being nice, i decided to go and buy a pool for the keira and some of her friends to play in. i know that we won't be able to take it with us to the apartment, but i thought, what the heck. keira and haley had so much fun. haley went down the slide on her own a couple times, but keira needed a little help. we had fun watching them splash. later eryn brought over kenna and meagan, but the water wasn't very warm, so they got out. it was a whole lot of fun for the girls, and i cant' wait to do it again. (keira does have a swim suit, but it is packed in one of the many boxes in the house, and i didn't fell like tearing through everything to find it, but she loved being naked!)

watching the backyardigans

keira loves to watch the backyardigans. if she is in another room and hears the song, she will crawl as quickly as she can to watch it. it is too funny. thanks mom and dad for sending the videos for her, she loves them, and i love that they will play in the car!

little ballerina

it's hard to believe that keira still has clothes that she hasn't worn yet. today i put her in an outfit that was given to me by the deaf education unit at my mom's high school. she loved the tulle skirt around it and was constantly playing with it. she even gets up on her tippy toes, so a ballerina outfit suits her well.

saying goodbye to cadillac

today we said goodbye to cadillac. it was really hard, but we knew that it was better for us and him. we are getting ready to move into a third story apartment and i knew that it would not be fair to me or him. i can't imagine trying to take him and keira outside, and he is used to having a yard to play in. the couple that took him are really excited to have him in their family. they are going to take him camping this weekend, and the husband wants to teach him to hunt with him. we really are going to miss him.
