drink until you can't drink anymore

lately keira has needed the help of a bottle to get her to sleep. so today we put her in her bouncy and gave her a bottle. she was so tired that within a few minutes she fell asleep, with the bottle in her hands.

carousel ride

this afternoon, keira, michelle, riley and i went into fayetteveille to run a few errands. while in town, we stopped at the mall. we were sitting in the food court eating lunch and riley asked if he could please ride the carousel. since he is not tall enough to go by himself michelle said, sure we'll all go. i wasn't sure how keira would like it, but she had a blast. she was looking at all the lights and the people as we went around. i will definitely have to take her on it again.

eating the ads

i am looking for a specific toy to get keira for christmas, so i went next door to see if i could find it in any of the ads. there it was in the k-mart ad. so i brought it home to show jeremy what i was talking about and keira kept grabbing for the paper. finally, i was done looking at them so i took her to her room and let her see the paper. it was torn up and all over her room. i can't wait until christmas morning when she has the wrapping paper everywhere.

taking steps in the walker

this evening jeremy, jake, and pops wanted to get together before pops went back home to play guitar. since jake has hardwood flooring, we took keira's walker for her to play in. while we were over there she took a few steps and was able move the walker. she is getting so big!

happy thanksgiving

for thanksgiving, we went to jake and michelle's house for dinner. it was really nice, 11 adults, 5 kids, 1 infant, and 4 dogs. it was a full house, but it couldn't have been better. the day started out with everyone getting to know each other, the kids playing outside, and keira getting passed around. she did so good, you really didn't even know she was there. jeremy had just bought jt a new football, so jt wanted mr. jeremy to play with him. then riley and thomas asked if i could jump on the trampoline with them. the catch is that they want to jump with them on my back. after the turkey was finished frying, we all went inside to sit down and eat. we even made keira something to eat. she just wanted to play with it. after we finished cleaning up, the adults played uno attack. as the "crowd" started to dwindle down, out came the pops' guitar. the guys took turns playing what they knew. keira was in heaven, she loves to hear music. the day was great. it you can't spend thanksgiving with your family, you should still spend it with the ones you love.

mommy's big girl

while we were waiting to take our family christmas pictures, i told jeremy to feed keira. she was sitting in the stroller very content, so i told him just to let her eat in there. when i turned around, i saw keira holding the bottle herself. she ate almost her whole bottle without any help. she is getting so big and strong!

no more weigh ins!!

today we went to keira's weekly weigh in. (she was underweight, so the doctors had us bring her in every tuesday to monitor her weight.) before we went into her appointment, she was grabbing at her shoelaces. i would tie them, and she would untie them. jeremy was laughing at her, and i think that she thought it was a game. we then went into the room and put her on the scale. i was so happy when i saw her weight...12 lbs. 7 oz. she gained 11 oz. in one week. because she is finally on track, we no longer have to go in every week to get her weight checked.

trying to escape

today while i was cooking dinner, keira was trying her hardest to get out of her bouncy seat. she would have her legs completely off and her butt right on the edge, so i would stop cooking and adjust her. i would get back to what i was doing, and she would scoot herselft back down. it is hard to believe how big she is getting. she is rolling over and holding herself up. crawling should come soon.

visit from grandma and grandpa

this weekend, jeremy's parents came to visit. it was really nice to get to see them, and have them meet the baby. we spent a lot of time together watching movies and eating. keira did really well with them. she loves to be around people, especially when they are focusing on her.

driving in the car

today i got a new digital camera, so i wanted to take some pictures while we were driving. keira did not like that idea. i don't know if she was hungry, or just wanted out of the carseat. she started screaming as loud as she could. eventually she calmed down and was able to enjoy the rest of the ride home.

i love my glo-worm

tonight keira was having trouble getting to sleep, so i placed her in her crib and hit the button on her glo-worm. keira reached out and pulled it near her, and started trying to give her kisses with her paci in her mouth. it was the cutest thing. (if you look really closely you can see her mohawk)

go bucs!

even though we didn't get to watch the game. jeremy and keira got dressed in their buccaneers attire to cheer them on. after the game was over, we had a few friends come over to watch the patriots beat the colts. it was a fun and exciting day.
