happy halloween

after getting ambushed by children, we decided to take keira trick or treating. we walked around the neighborhood with jake, michelle, and their two boys. the boys had a great time getting candy, and i had a great time showing off my little ladybug. one lady thought she was so cute that she took a picture of her. we had a really good time and i can't wait until next year, when she will be able to enjoy getting tons of candy.

after getting the hang of eating rice, i decided with the help of my mom that it was time to try keira on solid foods. i sat her in her bouncy seat in just her diaper. i figured that this was going to get messy. boy was i right. it was everywhere. i had to put her in the tub after we were done. i think that she might have gotten two good bites and then got the rest on herself. hopefully she will get a little better at this eating thing.

tractor ride and pumpkin patch

after jt's soccer game, jeremy, keira, michelle, riley, jt, and i went to the gillis hill farm. while we were there we looked around for pumpkins, and got to see two huge oxen. the boys were amazed at how big and strong they were. after looking around, we went on a tractor ride. at first keira did not like it, (she hates to sit still) but as soon as the tractor started up, she was quiet and looking around. we got to see horses, cows, chickens, and a few other animals on the small working farm. after our tractor ride. the boys went and had some pumpkin ice cream.

i have hated the green that jeremy painted the living room since the moment i walked into the house. i couln't believe that he would do something like that without making sure that i was ok with it first. so after begging for the walls to be changed for over a year, he finally did it. it was a lot of work and took much longer than the two of us thought, but i think that it looks great.

keira's a jumping baby

while we were upstairs today, i saw keira's jumper in pieces. i wondered if she was big enough to play in it, so i put it together and placed her in it. she loved it. she sitting and looking at the lights and listening to the sounds. when jeremy sat in front of her, she got really excited and actually started to jump.

today i decided that i would try to give keira some rice. i sat her in her bouncy seat, put a bib on her (thank goodness), and told jeremy to get the camera. i'm sure glad we got pictures. she did not like it too much. the faces she made were priceless. she took a few little bites, but then she started blowing bubbles with her food in her mouth. i think she got more on her face and bib.

daddy's first diaper change

after catching up on some much needed sleep, i thought it was time to throw jeremy into his role as a father. i don't think i have ever been so happy to hear keira poop. yes, i can hear it from across the room and it isn't the cutest thing she does. i went and got him and told him that it was his turn. he was a good sport, and after using only 4 wipies (it should have only taken one), keira was nice and clean. i'm sure he will get better at it!

daddy's home!

today we went to pick up jeremy at the airport. we were thrilled to see each other, but i think he was more excited to finally meet keira. after i handed her to him, she looked up and started to cry. i think once she gets used to him they will be inseparable. jeremy was very tired after a few long days of travel, but we were able to go out for a nice dinner.

3 months old

it is hard to believe that keira is three months old. it seems like the time has just flown by. she is smiling and so alert. she turns her head to different voices and always wants to know what is going on. she loves to spend time playing on her play mat. she is finally big enough to hit the different objects. tomorrow we go to pick up jeremy at the airport. we can't wait!!!
