my good sleeper?

lately keira has been doing really well. i put her in her crib and she will put herself to sleep. today was a little different. she moved every around and fussed, but eventually she took her nap.

visiting tio robbie

tonight robbie invited us over for dinner. it was really nice to finally get to meet his wife. keira tried to play with him robbie jr, but he isn't big enough to play. dinner was so good. it has been a while since i had some good mexican food.

happy valentine's day

wow has today been one of those days. i woke up to the best, most romantic thing jeremy has ever done. there was a trail of rose petals from our bedroom to the kitchen table. there he had a bag of "sweethearts," a box of chocolates, and a basket with bath stuff and a teddy bear. i was pleasently suprised. then keira woke up, and just wasn't acting like herself. i gave her some tylenol, and started to get ready for the day, but she still wasn't acting like herself. she wasn't crawling and as soon as i would walk away she would cry. usually she comes and finds me. so i took her temperature 102.2. not good. i called the ped office and they said come in at 9:30. well, it was 8:45. we live 30 minutes away, i was not even dressed, and she was still in a sleeper. i rushed to get her ready, and we made it. they think she might have the beginning of an ear infection, but i really just think that it is teething. so we meet jeremy for lunch. the day seems to be getting better, then we get home. cadillac ate my box of chocolate! i could have beat him, instead i threw him outside. so i was pretty upset. not to mention that i was still in jeans and a t-shirt with nothing thawed out for dinner. i pulled myself out of my rutt and decided that i should go ahead and get all dressed up, thaw out some steak, and make the best of the day. so i am cleaning up the kitchen and keira looks up at me and says, "dada." yup her first word. what a great valentine's day gift to jeremy. he is super excited. right now he is in the bathroom giving her a bath saying, "dada, dada." oh i will get her to say "mama" soon, i hope. we got keira a new high chair for valentine's day. she loves it, and so do i it is so much easier to clean, it is portable and it doesn't take up any space in the kitchen. well i hope that everyone enjoyed their valentine's day!!!

feeding herself

this mornig keira was not to happy during oatmeal time. so, i decided to reverse the roles. i put my strawberries on a fork and had her feed them to me...she wasn't very good at it. then i would feed her and we went back and forth doing this. after a few times, she took her spoon and tried to feed herself. at first all she did was make a mess, but she started to get the hang of it.

kaci's baby shower

today we went to kaci's baby shower. we just met her and her husband ryan, but they are really sweet. i had my camera with me, but i don't know why i didn't take any pictures while we were there. my mind has been on vacation lately.

playdate at the major's house

today we went over to the wright's house for a playdate, except there wasn't very much playing going on. (major wright is jeremy's commanding officer, and his wife lisa is so sweet) keira was playing with all of madison's toys, but madison decided that she was going to take a nap. then another squadron wife came over, but her son is only 3 months old. keira had a blast playing with different toys. when we were done with our playdate we decided to suprised jeremy at the bowling alley. i was even able to bowl a game. i bowled a 148! go me (i beat jeremy)!!!
