there she goes

today while we were at emily's i was able to get keira craling on video. usually she stops and looks up at me when i bring out the camera. jeremy and i are so excited about her crawling, we are so proud of her!

playing with audrey

audrey and keira are getting so big. i can't believe how much they are able to interact together. with all of the toys that the girls have, the were playing with the wipe container, go figure.

napping

while keira was napping today, she had her legs tucked up underneath her. she looked so cute i had to take a picture.

working out as a family

i have started joining jeremy when he works out upstairs. we are both striving to live a healthier lifestyle. keira also joins in on the fun!

she's crawling

today was the day that keira finally decided that she wanted to crawl forwards. jeremy and i don't know whether to be happy or scared. she is going to get into everything. i'll have a video as soon as i am able to get one of her.

messy eater

lately after eating keira has required a bath. sometimes this results in multiple baths a day. thank goodness she loves the bath. she splashes and gets water all over the wall and outside of the big tub.

standing on her own

while playing in her play room, keira decided that she no longer wanted to sit to look at the lights. with a little help from me, she was able to stand up and grab the top of her sing along stage. i thought that as soon as i let go, keira would fall down, but no, she was able to stand on her own for quite some time. she is getting so strong.

getting into things

while i was doing the dishes this afternoon, i thought that i would let keira play on the floor with the tupperware that michelle left for us. (for those of you that don't know, jake, michelle, jt, and riley left for key west yesterday. i wish them well, and i can't wait till we get to visit them or they come up to visit us. we will really miss them!) well i turned around and saw keira in cadillac's food bowl. instead of cleaning it up, i thought i should get some pictures. but you can't really get mad at someone as cute as she is. i finished cleaning up the kitchen and brought her into the room to watch some tv. somehow, as you can see in the last picture she propped herself up onto me. i did not help her. i am going to have my hands full with her. keira just finished a horrible teething spell, with no teeth. that is so not fair. i'd like at least one. oh well!

big girl bath

tonight keira took her first big girl bath. we were over at jake and michelle's and jake told riley to go hop in the tub. i went in and asked him if keira could come in with him. he said yes, so i got her ready. she loved it. she was splashing the water and getting it everywhere.

more snow

this afternoon it snowed for a few hours. it was so pretty watching it fall. it rained all morning so it took a while for the snow to stick. it was so beautiful. i would love for it to snow more often.

let it snow

this morning we woke up to snow. it was so pretty, and it is only the second time we have seen it here in north carolina. i took keira in it long enough to get pictures, it is still really cold and windy, and i don't need her to get sick again. hopefully we will get some more and i can let her play with it.

going out to eat

it is hard to believe how big keira is getting. she started sitting in the high chair when we go out to eat, she picks up her little puffs and puts them in her mouth herself, she doesn't like for jeremy or me to feed her. all that independence, but she loves to give us hugs and kisses. when jeremy gets home for work she gets so happy and reaches out for him. it's ok, she wants me when she is upset. she has changed our lives so much, but it so great.

shopping with mommy

today was keira's 6 month check up. she was 25.25 inches and 15 ponds 1 ounce. after her appointment, i went to the commissary. i decided that i would see if she would sit in the basket, and she did. i had to adjust her a couple times, but other than that she was great!

baby on the move

keira is crawling...backwards!!! she has gone forward a few times, but most of the time she goes backwards until she is up against the wall or stuck. she is also sitting unassisted. she is getting so big and strong!

jumping with the boys

tonight i took keira over to the jake and michelle's house so they could watch her. it was the first time that jeremy and i had time alone with out her. it was nice to be able to eat dinner and talk without having to worry about what keira was getting into. while she was over there, jt and riley had a blast jumping with her. i don't know what i am going to do when michelle leaves.
